How can children have depression?

Children's depression is different from the regular "doldrums" and daily thoughts that arise as children grow. Only because children appear unhappy, doesn't always mean they are really having depression. Perhaps they only need some modification in their childhood education program and will be right fine. If the depression becomes consistent, or if disruptive habits that inhibits normal sociable actions, pursuits, schoolwork, or family life advances, it may indicate that that children really have depression troubles. Take into account that as much as depression is a serious trouble, it can be as well a treatable one.

The signs of depression in children may differ from those in grownups. Children psychological doctors suggest parents to be aware of signs of depression in their children.
